Welcome to OLPH

Whether you are visiting from another parish, another city, renewing your faith after an absence or just considering to return home to the Catholic Church, we are pleased to have you visit our web site. We also hope you will be able to come and worship with us.

Hopefully you will find our parish a source of spiritual comfort and inspiration.

Read Message of Welcome from our pastor, Fr. Jim Hannah, on this page.

The church is open on Monday to Friday from 8:30 - 3:30 with daily mass at 12:10 p.m. (rosary at 11:50 a.m.). Masses are at 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9:30, 11:00 and 4:00 on Sunday. Confession is heard on Saturday between 4:15 and 4:45 or by appointment.

If your absence has been for a while, you may find some things have changed during the celebration of Mass as well as Holy Days of Obligation. While all Catholics are obliged to attend Mass on Sundays, there are now just two additional Holy Days of Obligation in Canada – Dec. 25 (Christmas Day) and Jan. 1 (Feast of Mary, Mother of God).

The wording of some of the prayers has changed but by following the Mass using the Sunday Missals found in the pews, you will feel “right at home”.

You will discover in-depth information on prayer, spirituality, sacraments and ministries as well as details about our parish – staff biography, parish history, photos from parish events, etc. You will also discover links to many wonderful Catholic/Christian sites and organizations.

Thank you for visiting with us – whether in the church itself or on our web site. We hope you have enjoyed your visit and that you will join us again soon.

Message from Pastor

Hello and welcome to Our Lady of Perpetual Help web site.

It is good that you found our parish web site on the Internet. As you navigate our site in detail, you will discover that it has much to offer – not only matters of spirituality and prayer but interesting information on our parish as well as many links to Catholic/Christian sites and organizations.

It is my hope that our web site will not only provide you with information about our particular parish but that it will also be a source of nourishment for your life of faith. With what we have posted on our web site as well as the multitude of links to other sites I hope that you will find material that will speak not only to your mind but also to your heart and soul.

If you are attending church on a regular basis, I hope that what you find on this site, or those sites linked to it, material that will enhance and enrich your faith and your prayer and especially your worship with your own community of faith. If you are not a regular church attendee, I hope that what you find here will awaken a desire to know and to experience more of what the Catholic Church has to offer in the ways of faith.

If you are in the Toronto area, I hope you will join us for mass on a Sunday or weekday – mass times are listed on the Homepage of our site. When you do visit, please feel free to introduce yourself to me or to our parish Pastoral Associate Karen Corcoran.

If you are outside the Toronto area, we look forward to having you visit our city and our historic church on your next trip.

Fr. Jim Hannah
